It doesn’t matter whether you’re a large or small business, an existing or new customer. - Back to 1993 - The first product - Expansion of links - New products and colleagues - Elvy: Looking to the Future ### Back to 1993 Elvy’s story began in 1993 with a passion for technology and a gap in the market. Founder Alwin Nederpelt recognised that organisations, both large and small, were facing a challenge when it came to organising their business processes efficiently. ‘I can make a difference here,’ Alwin thought. Armed with sufficient technical knowledge, he decided to register with the Chamber of Commerce under the name ‘Nederpelt Software’ to create bespoke software for optimising various (financial) business processes. And it was a success! His bespoke solutions were well received. ### The first product After several years working as a self-employed professional, and having gained a vast amount of new knowledge and experience, the time was right to develop his own product. Alwin’s aim is to offer every organisation a solution for optimising financial administration processes, particularly for organisations that process large numbers of invoices on a daily basis. The first version of the product arose from a specific market need: an integration with the existing Exact Globe accounting software to digitise and archive the flow of invoices. This marked the very beginning of Elvy Invoice Processing. ### Expansion of links It wasn’t just Exact Globe users who needed a solution like this, which has paved the way for new integrations. And that number has risen rapidly! Today, more than 15 financial accounting packages and ERP systems can be integrated with Elvy in real time for a fixed, transparent price. ### New products and colleagues Rapid developments in the field of digitalisation have also created new market demands for the optimisation of business processes. Alwin, together with the growing Elvy team, is therefore taking things a step further and beginning to develop new solutions. We now offer four other solutions alongside Elvy Invoice Processing, namely: Elvy Expense Claims Processing, Elvy Procurement Management, Elvy Contract Registration and Elvy Document Archiving. More than 4,000 organisations now use these solutions. ### Elvy: Looking to the Future As a team, we work hard to ensure the quality and development of our software. We keep a close eye on the market to develop suitable features and explore new integrations. Or sometimes we take a step back to ensure the quality of the software. As well as developing software, we handle everything in-house to provide our clients with the best possible service. ### Vision If we are allowed to dream big and pursue our ambitions, then by 2030 the entire SME sector will have a fully digitised and automated financial administration process. The strengths of both people and technology complement each other seamlessly in this regard: the use of smart technology reduces the number of manual tasks in the financial business process, ensuring that employees’ expertise is utilised to the full and that they derive greater job satisfaction. ## Job vacancies. Elvy’s team comprises more than 40 dedicated staff members from various disciplines: administration/HR, consultancy, development, customer success management, marketing/communications, project management, sales and support. They are all based at the office in Wateringen. This ensures short lines of communication and enables us to respond quickly.
